Job summary

Job description

Our client is leading Holding Company with a very strong reputation in Saudi.

We are looking for an experienced candidate to take the position of VP Supply Chain to be based at their head office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Job Overview

With solid experience in supply chain with other competencies related to the job including the ability to manage the supply chain function and ensure cost effective services is provided to all Business Units, drive continued improvement in the function by leveraging the quality of plans and support the business strategy and lead the management of inventory to meet agreed target levels while insuring optimal inventory is in place. He should be in a position to define, develop and implement regional supply chain strategy, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, distribution and strategic sourcing, with a continued effort to lead and develop a team of competent professionals in the department.

Reports to: President and CEO

Key Responsibilities
  • Leads the development and implementation of an effective supply chain and sourcing strategy at the Group level (Holding Company and SBUs) in line with the Group business strategy and objectives, and taking into account the specific operational needs of various SBUs.
  • Lead the development and establishment of supply chain and procurement processes and systems with an emphasis on service and quality improvement and in close coordination with SBUs. This includes liaising with the ICT Department to ensure the implementation of relevant supporting information systems across the Group.
  • Ensure that quality checks are performed across the Group (SBUs and Holdco) against the set supply chain quality standards, and established policies and procedures and local legislative regulations.

Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, Engineering, Materials Management, Logistics and distribution or equivalent.
  • At least 10 – 15 years of experience in Supply Chain or Operations field.
  • At least 5 in a similar role in a similar industry and preferably in a Group setting.
  • Open to all nationalities.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary to be used as a guide only and will reflect experience levels and interview performance.
  • As a guideline between 40 - 50k SAR per month / $130-150k USD per annum + Benefits.
