Job summary

Saudi Aramco is seeking a Subsea Engineer to join the Marine Operations Division. The role involves leading subsea planning, diving operations interfaces, and ensuring compliance with Saudi Aramco engineering standards, while providing technical input on new or decommissioning projects.

The candidate should have significant offshore experience as a lead or field engineer and hold a Bachelor's in Civil/Mechanical/Marine Engineering, with a Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Marine Engineering; Master’s in Subsea/Pipeline preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of subsea engineering experience in oil and gas.
• Significant offshore experience in lead or field engineer roles.
• Experience with international marine regulatory bodies and subsea practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork; proficient in MS Office.

Overview

We are seeking a Subsea Engineer to join our Marine Operations Division.

Marine Operations Division is responsible for leading the planning, engineering and delivery of key subsea tasks to deliver safe and efficient vessel operations.

Your primary role is to provide subsea services to offshore customers, such as diving and Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) operations, such as underwater inspections, repairs, maintenance and construction. Also, you will provide an advanced/higher level of technical expertise and support in resolving complex technical issues related to subsea operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

• Provide the main interface between diving operations and their customers, when developing the detailed procedures, equipment lists and any other relevant requirements.
• Lead the onshore planning and offshore execution of subsea operations.
• Act as the focal point for all Scope of Work (SOW) reviews, design review and Saudi Aramco engineering compliance.
• Ensure all subsea work is in full compliance with the Saudi Aramco’s Marine Operations Manual and internally recognized Marine Guidance Documents.
• Perform the role of Client Worksite Representative offshore, when necessary, while ensuring that the intervention contractor is provided with the correct site information and that the site is safe to use by identifying known hazards.
• Provide technical input to any development projects, supplying functional guidance to engineering contractors on discipline specific matters, to ensure that quality of work is meeting Aramco standards, within timely and cost-effective manner.
• Act as Saudi Aramco technical point of contact for all subsea project contracts.
• Provide technical input for any decommissioning or new projects when necessary.
• You will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Marine Engineering. A Master’s Degree in Subsea or Pipeline Engineering is preferred.
• You will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in Subsea Engineering related roles in the oil and gas industry
• Professional Chartership with an Internationally Recognized Engineering Body is preferred.
• You will be able to primarily work for a Major Subsea Contractor that undertakes underwater inspections, repairs, maintenance and construction activities.
• You Must have significant offshore experience, delivery subsea operations in a lead or field engineer role.
• You will have experience in international Marine regulatory body requirements, classification standards, Marine engineering practices, subsea engineering practices, underwater technologies, codes and specifications.
• You must have Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships and work effectively in a team.
• You will have excellent Microsoft office applications skills.
