Job description

Overview

We are seeking a Subsea Engineer to join our Marine Operations Division. The division is responsible for planning, engineering and delivering key subsea tasks to support safe and efficient vessel operations. The primary role is to provide subsea services to offshore customers, including diving and Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) operations, underwater inspections, repairs, maintenance and construction, as well as advanced technical support for complex subsea issues.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as the main interface between diving operations and customers, developing detailed procedures, equipment lists and other requirements.
• Lead onshore planning and offshore execution of subsea operations.
• Act as focal point for Scope of Work (SOW) reviews and design reviews, ensuring compliance with Saudi Aramco Engineering standards.
• Ensure all subsea work aligns with the Saudi Aramco Marine Operations Manual and internal Marine Guidance Documents.
• Perform the role of Client Worksite Representative offshore, providing accurate site information and ensuring safety by identifying hazards.
• Supply technical input on development projects, advising engineering contractors on discipline‑specific matters to achieve quality, timing and cost objectives.
• Serve as Saudi Aramco technical point of contact for all subsea project contracts.
• Provide technical support for decommissioning or new projects when required.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Marine Engineering (Master’s in Subsea or Pipeline Engineering preferred).
• At least 7 years of Subsea Engineering experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Professional chartership with an internationally recognised engineering body (preferred).
• Significant offshore experience, having led or field‑engineered subsea operations.
• Knowledge of international marine regulatory requirements, classification standards, marine and subsea engineering practices, underwater technologies, codes and specifications.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships within a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
