Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Planning Engineer to join our hospitality project team. The Junior Planner will support planning and scheduling activities, update schedules, collect site progress, and coordinate with design, procurement, construction, and subcontractor teams.

The successful candidate will help ensure activities are planned, tracked, and completed in accordance with the approved schedule, budget, quality requirements, and project objectives, with emphasis on monitoring milestones and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project planning, construction planning, or project controls.
• Experience in hospitality, commercial, residential, or fit-out projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction activities, project sequencing, and site operations.
• Proficiency in planning software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and updating detailed project schedules using planning software.
• Support baseline, detailed, recovery, and look-ahead schedules.
• Collect progress information from site teams and suppliers.
• Monitor progress against the approved project schedule and identify delays or risks.
• Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and schedule analysis.
• Coordinate with construction, design, procurement, and project management teams.
