Job summary

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) Procurement Research, Innovation & IT Supervisor oversees category management and sourcing across IT, research, technology, and related spend. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; specialised education advantageous.
• CIPS/CSCP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate IT & Research category strategy into sourcing plans aligned with budgets and timelines.
• Maintain category intelligence on demand, markets, and total cost of ownership.
• Supervise end-to-end sourcing activities, including PR review, RFx, evaluation, negotiation and handover.
• Review sourcing packs for completeness and governance approval.
• Allocate work, set priorities and coach Category Buyers to meet SLAs.
• Escalate risks to the Director and coordinate with IT, research and vendors.
• Coordinate with Vendor Management and Contract Management on eligibility and post-award handover.
• Maintain accurate sourcing, pipeline and savings data in Oracle; provide updates to the Director.
• Identify practical improvements to tools, templates, and stakeholder engagement.
