Job summary

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) seeks an Academic and Administrative Services Supervisor to oversee category management and sourcing for HR, library, food, logistics and other support services. You will translate strategies into actionable plans, supervise Category Buyers, ensure compliant procurement, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver value-focused outcomes.

The role requires 5–8 years in category management or procurement, a bachelor’s degree in a related field,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent
• CSCP certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Translate category strategies into prioritised sourcing plans aligned with budgets and stakeholder priorities
• Use demand, market and supplier intelligence to identify opportunities for cost, service quality and risk optimization
• Supervise end-to-end sourcing activities: PR review, RFx, bidder management, evaluation, negotiation, award and PO/contract handover
• Review sourcing packs for completeness, compliance and approvals before governance submission
• Allocate work, set priorities and coach Buyers to ensure timely, quality outputs and adherence to SLAs
• Monitor workload, milestones, cycle times and escalate capacity or risk issues to Director
• Coordinate with academic and administrative stakeholders to define requirements, schedules, scopes of work and evaluation plans
• Collaborate with Vendor Management and Contract Administration on supplier eligibility, performance and post-award handover
• Maintain accurate sourcing data, savings and compliance in Oracle and trackers; report category performance to Director
• Identify practical improvements to tools, templates, and stakeholder engagement
