As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of stock levels, overseeing the receipt and dispatch of goods, and ensuring that products are stored in a safe and orderly manner. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will be vital in optimizing our inventory processes and supporting our sales teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of automotive parts and supplies, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems, conducting regular stock audits to identify discrepancies.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues related to inventory shortages or excesses.
- Implement and enforce safety and cleanliness standards within the storeroom, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Assist in the preparation of reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and stock valuation for management review.
- Train and supervise junior staff in inventory management processes and best practices.
- Monitor expiration dates on perishable items and ensure timely rotation of stock to minimize waste.
- Collaborate with the sales team to forecast inventory needs and ensure that stock levels align with customer demand.
