The role requires 7+ years in storage and backup administration, experience with Dell EMC, HPE, VMware, Hyper-V, and cloud storage services (Azure, AWS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of hands-on enterprise storage and backup administration.
• Experience with Dell EMC and HPE storage platforms.
• Expertise in backup technologies and disaster recovery planning.
• Experience with virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with cloud storage services in Microsoft Azure and AWS.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Storage & Backup Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing enterprise storage environments, backup and recovery operations, data protection, and disaster recovery processes to ensure high availability, performance, and security of business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Storage Management

• Administer and maintain SAN, NAS, and DAS storage environments.
• Monitor storage capacity, performance, and system health using enterprise monitoring tools.
• Perform storage provisioning, zoning, and LUN management.
• Support storage optimization and capacity planning initiatives.

Backup & Recovery

• Manage enterprise backup solutions, including Veeam.
• Execute backup monitoring, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
• Conduct regular backup testing and recovery drills to ensure data integrity and business continuity.

Incident & Problem Management

• Troubleshoot and resolve storage and backup-related incidents.
• Coordinate with vendors and managed service providers (MSPs) for escalations and issue resolution.
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to data protection, encryption, and security policies.
• Maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory data retention requirements.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate documentation of storage and backup environments.
• Generate reports on storage utilization, performance metrics, and backup success rates.
• Support audit and compliance activities.

Project Support

• Participate in infrastructure projects such as storage expansion, data migration, and cloud integration initiatives.
• Provide technical expertise for vendor assessments, RFPs, and solution evaluations.

Required Qualifications
