Job summary

NextEra is seeking an experienced Storage & Backup Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on managing enterprise storage, backup and recovery operations, data protection, and disaster recovery to ensure high availability, performance, and security of business-critical systems.

Responsibilities include administering SAN, NAS, and DAS, monitoring capacity and performance, managing backups with Veeam, and coordinating with vendors for incident resolution.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on experience in enterprise storage and backup administration.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience with storage platforms such as Dell EMC and HPE.
• Expertise in backup technologies and disaster recovery planning.
• Experience with virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with cloud storage services in Microsoft Azure and AWS.

• Troubleshoot and resolve storage and backup-related incidents.
• Coordinate with vendors and MSPs for escalations and issue resolution.
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to data protection, encryption, and security policies.
• Maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory data retention requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation of storage and backup environments.
• Generate reports on storage utilization, performance metrics, and backup success rates.
• Support audit and compliance activities.
• Participate in infrastructure projects such as storage expansion, data migration, and cloud integration initiatives.
• Provide technical expertise for vendor assessments, RFPs, and solution evaluations.
