Job summary

Norconsult Telematics seeks a Storage Architect to design, implement, and govern enterprise storage infrastructure in Riyadh, using Dell and NetApp platforms to support mission-critical apps, virtualization, and cloud environments. You'll develop HLDs/LLDs, perform capacity planning and performance analysis, and design SAN/NAS/Object Storage architectures.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability and DR preparedness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end enterprise storage solutions using Dell and NetApp platforms.
• Develop High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD), implementation plans, and migration strategies.
• Perform storage sizing, capacity planning, and performance analysis based on requirements.
• Design SAN/NAS/Object Storage, Fibre Channel, NVMe, iSCSI, and IP storage architectures.
• Design storage for VMware vSphere, OpenShift, Kubernetes CSI, and cloud environments.
• Implement high availability, snapshots, replication, and DR/business continuity solutions.
• Evaluate Dell and NetApp solutions for security and governance.
• Prepare RFPs/RFIs/RFQs/BOQs and technical assessments.
• Support storage modernization and data migration initiatives with minimal disruption.
• Optimize storage utilization, performance, automation, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with server, virtualization, network, cybersecurity, database, and backup teams.
• Conduct PoCs and recommend new technologies and best practices.
• Provide governance throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsible for delivering scalable, secure, highly available, and high-performance storage solutions supporting mission-critical applications, virtualization, cloud platforms, Kubernetes/OpenShift, backup & disaster recovery initiatives

Job Description & Responsibilities:

• Design end-to-end enterprise storage solutions using Dell PowerMax, PowerStore, Unity XT, ECS, and NetApp AFF, FAS, and ONTAP platforms.
• Develop High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), implementation plans, migration strategies, and technical documentation.
• Perform storage sizing, capacity planning, forecasting, and performance analysis based on business and application requirements.
• Design SAN, NAS, Object Storage, Fibre Channel, NVMe, iSCSI, and IP storage architectures.
• Design storage solutions for VMware, Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and cloud environments using CSI integration.
• Implement high availability, snapshots, replication, Metro/Global replication, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Evaluate and validate Dell and NetApp solutions, ensuring compliance with security, governance, and business requirements.
• Prepare and review RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, BOQs, technical specifications, and vendor proposals.
• Support technology refresh, storage modernization, and data migration initiatives with minimal business disruption.
• Optimize storage utilization, performance, automation, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with server, virtualization, network, cybersecurity, database, backup, and application teams.
• Perform Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and recommend new technologies and best practices.
• Provide technical governance throughout the project lifecycle and ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards.
• Support root cause analysis for complex storage issues and define preventive improvements.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of enterprise storage design experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Dell PowerMax, PowerStore, Unity XT, ECS, and NetApp ONTAP, AFF, and FAS.
• Strong knowledge of SAN, NAS, Object Storage, Fibre Channel, NVMe, iSCSI, snapshots, replication, and storage networking.
• Experience with VMware vSphere, Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes CSI, and Linux environments.
• Experience preparing HLDs, LLDs, BOQs, RFPs, and technical evaluations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
