Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an IT backup operations specialist to monitor and support backup processes using PPDM, Data Domain, and related tools. The role involves basic troubleshooting of backup failures, storage issues, and maintaining system health across PowerMax and PowerScale environments.

The ideal candidate will monitor SAN connectivity, perform daily health checks, log incidents, and coordinate with L3 teams for complex problems.

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of Networker, PPDM, Data Domain, PowerMax, PowerScale, and SAN switches.
Understanding of backup, storage, SAN, and networking fundamentals.
Good troubleshooting and monitoring skills.

Responsibilities

Monitor and support backup operations using Dell PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM) Networker Data domain and Veeam.
Perform basic troubleshooting of backup failures, alerts, and storage issues.
Basic administration and monitoring of Dell PowerMax and PowerScale.
Monitor and troubleshoot SAN switches and connectivity issues.
Perform daily health checks, incident logging, escalation, and documentation.
Coordinate with L3 teams for complex issues.
