Job summary

The role requires deep knowledge of EU climate and energy frameworks, and experience in the MENA region is desirable.

Qualifications

• Arabic is highly desirable.

Senior Non-Key Expert – Green Transition & Water Management

NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the proposal preparation of the EU-funded project called: “Egypt Downtown Facility.”

The overall objective of this assignment is to enhance the effectiveness, coherence and visibility of the Strategic and Comprehensive Partnership between the European Union and the Arab Republic of Egypt by providing rapid, flexible and high-quality technical assistance in support of jointly agreed bilateral cooperation priorities. This objective will contribute to strengthened policy dialogue, improved programme implementation and reinforced institutional capacities of Egyptian partner entities involved in EU-funded actions.

In this context, we are seeking a highly qualified Senior Non-Key Expert – Green Transition & Water Management to support technical assistance assignments related to Egypt’s green transition, climate action, sustainable management of water resources, environmental sustainability, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and related policy and investment priorities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Master’s degree in environmental sciences, climate change, energy, engineering, economics, sustainable development, or a related field.
• Arabic is highly desirable.
• French is an asset.

Professional Experience

• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in green transition, climate change, renewable energy, energy efficiency and/or environmental sustainability.
• Experience preparing sector assessments, diagnostics, feasibility studies, policy papers or investment-related analyses.
• Good knowledge of EU climate, energy and green transition policies and relevant international frameworks.
• Knowledge of water, sanitation, and environmental management
• Experience in Egypt and/or the MENA region desirable.
