Job summary

Lucid Motors in Saudi Arabia seeks a Staff Engineer Lighting Systems to own on-site lighting design during prototype builds, launch ramp-up and production stabilization. You will oversee fit, function, packaging, and vehicle‑level integration while coordinating with global lighting teams, suppliers and manufacturing.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, root‑cause analysis, DFMEA/PFMEA review, and timely engineering changes to ensure design intent and program milestones

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 10+ years in automotive lighting OEM or Tier 1 with relevant experience.
• Experience reading CAD models, GD&T, release documentation (CATIA/3DX).

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site technical owner for lighting systems during prototype builds and production ramp-up.
• Own plant-related lighting topics from fit/function to vehicle-level integration.
• Coordinate with global engineering teams, suppliers, and manufacturing for alignment.
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement containment and corrective actions.
• Support diagnostics and troubleshooting for lighting modules and interfaces.
• Review CAD data, drawings, DFMEA/PFMEA, and supplier documentation to enable manufacturing readiness.
• Track issues, risk, and actions to ensure timely resolution and program milestones.
• Communicate status clearly to leadership and escalate as needed.
