Job summary

DPL is seeking a Technical Architect to own end-to-end design of digital platforms powering sports and entertainment venues in Riyadh. You will translate business needs into scalable, secure architectures and collaborate with domain experts, product owners and delivery teams to ensure performance on match day.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in solution/enterprise architecture, cloud platform delivery, and data integration.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years in solution or enterprise architecture for large programmes.
• Proven delivery of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and data platforms.
• Experience with API-led integrations across multiple systems.
• Practical experience connecting physical and digital environments (IoT, access control, POS, CRM, analytics).
• Background in smart venues, stadiums, retail, hospitality or large facilities is a strong advantage.
• Record of leading client conversations, presenting to technical and executive audiences, defending design choices.

Responsibilities

• Define complete architectures for fan engagement platforms, ticketing and access control, data platforms and venue system integrations.
• Convert business requirements into technical plans covering cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, APIs and third party integrations.
• Design how data moves between physical venue systems and digital platforms with a single data model.
• Write and own the technical sections of proposals, tender responses and client workshops.
• Support engineering teams during build, ensuring design survives load, latency, security and vendor constraints.
• Set technical standards, reference architectures and repeatable patterns across venues and programmes.
• Act as the technical counterpart to industry specialists and business leads, linking decisions to outcomes.
