Job summary

Nesma & Partners is seeking an experienced construction site manager to oversee multiple projects at the worksite, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence in line with plans and codes.

The role requires coordinating with site managers, subcontractors, and clients, managing resources, and ensuring efficient progress, with 0–4 years of related experience and engineering background. On-site work in Saudi Arabia offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 0-4 years’ related experience in similar roles.
  • PMP or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Site Managers/Construction Managers to understand project requirements and scope.
  • Coordinate site clearance, excavation, and leveling activities.
  • Oversee procurement, delivery, and storage of construction materials.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings and codes.
  • Implement QA/QC processes and conduct inspections/tests.
  • Enforce safety regulations and ensure PPE usage.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors for timely completion of tasks.
  • Update project managers on progress and delays.

Role Purpose

Oversee and manage various activities related to the construction projects at the worksite to ensure that construction projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with the project plans, specifications, and quality standards through coordinating with different stakeholders, managing resources, and ensuring that the construction progresses smoothly and meets the project's objectives.

Key Accountabilities

Operational Direction

Collaborate with Site Managers / Construction Managers and other stakeholders to understand the project requirements, objectives, and scope. Assess the construction site and the potential challenges before work begins as it helps identify and address any issues or obstacles that may affect the construction project. Coordinate site clearance, excavation, and leveling activities to ensure that the construction process is well planned, efficient, and successful. Oversee the procurement, delivery, and storage of construction materials, ensuring they meet quality standards and are used efficiently throughout the project. Monitor and supervise construction activities, including foundation work, structural elements, and finishing works in order to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and building codes. Implement quality assurance and quality control processes to maintain high construction standards and conduct regular inspections and tests to identify and rectify defects. Enforce safety regulations and best practices on the construction site and conduct safety briefings and ensure that all workers are equipped with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Coordinate with subcontractors, such as electricians, plumbers, and other specialized trades, to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion of their tasks. Regularly update project managers and stakeholders on the project's progress, highlighting any delays, challenges, or modifications needed to the initial plan keep all parties informed, and facilitate collaborative decision-making. Address on-site technical issues and challenges that arise during construction, proposing and implementing effective solutions and enabling project managers to implement risk management strategies promptly. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, reports, and records of materials used since the accurate documentation helps ensure that the construction project complies with local building codes, regulations, and legal requirements and provides a record of the project's adherence to safety, environmental, and zoning standards. Interact with clients, architects, and consultants to provide updates, address queries, and maintain a positive working relationship in order to keep all stakeholders informed about the current status of the project. Prepare the site for final handover, ensuring that all necessary inspections, tests, and documentation are completed for facility management team for ongoing operations and maintenance and contributing to client satisfaction and a positive handover experience. Review and follow up on all SSRVs and control material waste on site to ensure efficient resource utilization and cost-effectiveness in the construction process. Proactively identify safety hazards and implement safety improvements to create a safer working environment forthe construction workforce. Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements, leading to faster and more efficient project completion. Evaluate regularly resource utilization in order to ensure that materials, equipment, and labor are used optimally, reducing project delays and cost overruns.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education/Certification

Bachelors in Engineering, or any other related field.

Experience

0-4 years’ related experience in roles within similar positions.
