Parsons is seeking a Signaling Engineer - CBTC Systems to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, supporting the delivery of signaling systems for major rail transportation infrastructure. The role focuses on Communication-Based Train Control signaling installation, testing, commissioning, systems integration, contractor supervision, and technical coordination. Working closely with the Design-Build Contractor's signaling team, the Signaling Engineer will help ensure that signaling systems and associated interfaces are delivered in accordance with approved designs, contractual requirements, performance targets, and project schedules.
The Signaling Engineer will contribute throughout the installation, testing, integration, and commissioning stages of the signaling system. A key part of the position is maintaining technical oversight of CBTC activities while ensuring interfaces with other railway systems are properly coordinated. The role requires practical understanding of signaling integration in complex metro environments, including Communication-Based Train Control, Automatic Train Control, trackside signaling, fallback signaling, and interfaces with systems such as platform screen doors.
Working within a multidisciplinary project environment, the Signaling Engineer will review contractor and subcontractor deliverables and monitor field activities against approved technical documentation. This includes assessing installation and commissioning procedures, identifying technical issues, and supporting their resolution with relevant project stakeholders. The position also requires clear technical reporting and effective coordination with contractors, consultants, engineering disciplines, and multinational project teams.
