Job summary

Halliburton seeks an experienced Service Operator (Svc Spec II-GBA) to support onshore and offshore drilling operations in Saudi Arabia. You will plan equipment setup, supervise field activities, and ensure data quality while maintaining strong customer relations.

With 6+ years in oil field drilling (including 4+ years in underbalanced or managed pressure drilling), you will mentor junior staff and uphold safety and operational standards at client sites.

Qualifications

• Six+ years of oil field drilling experience including 4+ years with underbalanced or managed pressure drilling.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills are required.
• Competency as Svc Spec II-GBA is essential and training will be provided as needed.

Responsibilities

• Rig up and rig down service line equipment on onshore/offshore work locations.
• Plan job setup, well-site direction and customer support activities.
• Maintain, set up, test and operate equipment and document job activities.
• Lead and mentor junior operators and ensure customer satisfaction and data quality.

Job Duties

Under general supervision, performs all phases of the rigging up and down of service line equipment on work locations both on and offshore. Provides the planning necessary for the job including equipment set up, well site direction, and customer related support activities. Responsible for the activities relative to maintaining, setting up, testing, and operating equipment at the customer location and field camp. Mentors and trains lower level Service Operators and Operator Assistants in areas of expertise. Monitors instruments and performs necessary calculations to ensure quality of the data at well. Consults with customers concerning services and products, promotes good customer relations at the well site, and ensures customer satisfaction with results. Checks and verifies equipment as per job plan, properly maintains equipment and completes all job documentation. Conducts pre- job toolbox safety meetings, reviews and verifies job plan with customer representative and manages any changes required. The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations is required. Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required. Skills are acquired through completion of a high school diploma and 6+ years experience in oil field drilling activities including 4+ years of underbalanced drilling and/or managed pressure drilling. Must have met the minimum competency requirements for Svc Spec II-GBA.
