Job summary

Penta Consulting is seeking Mid-Level and Senior Cisco Compute & Virtualisation Engineers to join our expanding team. You will work on compute, storage, and virtualisation solutions for enterprise and service provider customers.

You will develop and maintain Cisco UCS, HyperFlex, and VMware vSphere platforms, while contributing to design, migrations, and automation initiatives in modern data centre environments.

Qualifications

• Mid-Level and Senior Cisco Compute & Virtualisation Engineers required.
• Experience deploying and supporting Cisco UCS environments.
• Strong VMware vSphere administration and storage networking skills.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and support Cisco UCS environments using UCS Manager and Intersight.
• Manage VMware vSphere infrastructure, vCenter, ESXi, HA/DRS, and virtual networks.
• Administer Windows Server and Linux environments across enterprise infrastructure.
• Manage storage connectivity including SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI; integrate Cisco MDS.
• Perform upgrades, patching, and incident resolution; support backups and DR/BCP.
• Produce technical documentation such as HLDs/LLDs/runbooks and as-built docs.
• Senior engineers lead compute architecture, data centre migrations, capacity planning, and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and support Cisco UCS environments (B-Series, C-Series, X-Series) using UCS Manager and Intersight.
• Manage and maintain VMware vSphere infrastructure, including vCenter, ESXi, HA/DRS, and virtual networking.
• Support HyperFlex clusters, compute platforms, and integrated data centre solutions.
• Administer Windows Server and Linux environments across enterprise infrastructures.
• Manage storage connectivity and integrations including SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and Cisco MDS.
• Perform upgrades, patching, maintenance activities, and incident resolution.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Produce technical documentation including HLDs, LLDs, operational runbooks, and as-built documentation.
• Senior Engineers: Lead compute architecture, data centre migrations, capacity planning, automation initiatives, governance, and mentor junior engineers.
