Job summary

ABIS is seeking a QC Inspector – Structural to perform inspections and testing of structural steel fabrication and erection. You will verify drawings, specs, and codes, witness bolting and welding, and record results with NCRs while coordinating with client and third-party inspectors.

The role requires 5–8 years in structural steel QC, a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, and preferred QC certification. On-site Saudi site with comprehensive quality documentation support.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience as a QC Inspector on structural steel construction projects.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• QC/inspection certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on structural steel fabrication and erection works.
• Witness bolting, welding, and alignment checks per the ITP.
• Verify installation against drawings and tolerances.
• Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports.
• Coordinate hold points and inspections with client/third-party inspectors.
• Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
• Verify calibration status of measuring and test equipment used on site.
• Support punch-list generation and verification of closure for structural works.
• Ensure work fronts comply with method statements and structural codes.
• Support preparation of quality documentation for handover dossiers.
