Job summary

KEO International Consultants is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer (Civil) for our Riyadh office. The role focuses on design review, compliance checks, and value engineering in flagship projects.

You will lead coordination among architects, engineers, BIM teams and contractors to ensure quality outcomes. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience, a relevant engineering degree, and strong ability to drive design reviews, risk management, and IFC submissions within a hybrid work

Qualifications

• 10+ years of work experience in structural or civil engineering.
• Bachelor degree in Structural/Civil Engineering.
• Proven ability to coordinate with architects, engineers, BIM teams, contractors and clients.

Responsibilities

• Extensive experience in Design Review Methodology with review schedules and workflows.
• Perform Design Compliance Reviews against project requirements, codes and employer requirements.
• Apply Value Engineering and Constructability Reviews to identify optimization opportunities.
• Develop and manage Comment Resolution Registers.
• Provide recommendations for design stage approvals and IFC submissions.
• Coordinate BIM coordination and review BIM Coordination Reports.
• Identify, assess and track design-related risks through Risk Registers and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with stakeholders throughout the design review process.

Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Senior Structural Engineer (Civil) to join our award winning team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

• Extensive experience in Design Review Methodology, including preparation of review schedules, review workflows, and design assurance processes.
• Proven ability to perform Design Compliance Reviews against project requirements, applicable codes, standards, regulations, and employer requirements.
• Strong knowledge of Value Engineering (VE) and Constructability Reviews, with the ability to identify cost, quality, operational, and construction optimization opportunities.
• Experience in developing and managing Comment Resolution Registers.
• Ability to provide recommendations for design stage approvals and IFC (Issued for Construction) submissions.
• Good understanding of BIM Coordination, Clash Detection, and review of BIM Coordination Reports (preferred).
• Experience in identifying, assessing, and tracking design-related risks through Risk Registers and mitigation strategies.
• Strong coordination skills with architects, engineers, BIM teams, contractors, clients, and stakeholders throughout the design review process.
