Job summary

Mott MacDonald invites applications for a Principal Structural Engineer to lead building structures projects from concept to detailed design in Riyadh. You will mentor junior engineers, review designs, calculations and drawings, and ensure quality, safety and compliance across schemes.

You will bring a strong structural background, familiarity with KSA codes, and experience in an international design consultancy to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Membership of ICE or IStructE is required.
• Experience in engineering design, primarily in building structures, with increasing responsibility.
• Experience in international design consultancy.
• Experience in KSA with knowledge of KSA codes, standards and authorities.
• Track record of delivering building structures projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review designs, calculations, drawings and risk assessments.
• Lead concept, scheme and detailed design calculations and drawings for structural projects.
• Undertake structural analysis across building structures projects.
• Inspect site works and monitor quality and compliance with design requirements.
• Ensure timely delivery of reliable design solutions, reports and drawings.
• Provide task and resource management to meet scope, programme and budget.
• Support technical development of junior engineers and technicians.
• Share knowledge and lessons learned while promoting safe, ethical, inclusive behaviours.
