Job summary

The Graduate Engineer will support the Structural Engineering team on a large building structures portfolio across the Middle East.

Responsibilities include assisting with engineering codes, design coordination, minute taking, monthly progress reports, and stakeholder coordination while working towards chartered status in a global consultancy based in Riyadh.

Qualifications

• Degree in structural engineering or related discipline.
• Willingness to become Chartered/participate in professional development.
• Hands-on approach to problem solving and design.
• Basic BIM/Revit/Etabs understanding encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, apply basic engineering codes and principles.
• Assist in preliminary engineering options and design coordination.

About the Role Job:

The Graduate Engineer will be supporting the Structural Engineering team on a large building structures portfolio across the Middle East.

Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:

• Under the supervision of the Project Manager, perform assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering codes and principles
• Assist with the preliminary selection and adaption of engineering possibilities
• Attendance at design co-ordination meetings and preparation of minutes (weekly basis)
• Providing input for monthly reports on progress on the project
• Assisting in the management of change control
• Coordination with authorities / stakeholders
• Assist the Project Manager as necessary (e.g. letters, meetings)

Role Requirement:

• Degree qualified to a Bachelors in Structural Engineering or any other relevant disciplin
• Possess the drive to become a Chartered Engineer or achieve membership of any other professional engineering institute.
• Working towards chartered status
• Innovative, creative and courageous with a hands-on approach to solving problems
• A basic understanding of BIM/Revit/Etabs or other relevant system preferred
• Proactively take ownership of their own career – take initiative and responsibility of work-related matters
• Demonstrate flexibility by adopting to different work styles and behaviours
