Saudi Aramco (ASC) seeks a Downstream Strategy Expert with over 15 years of relevant experience to guide corporate strategy and planning. The successful candidate will serve as an advisor to the Downstream Executive Management and lead strategic projects, requiring strong analytical and communication skills.

A Master's degree and demonstrable experience in change management are essential. This role is pivotal in aligning strategies to enhance the company's competitive advantage in the global energy sector.

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Company’s foremost expert in Downstream strategy.
• Act as the Corporate Advisor for Downstream business‑related matters and provide insight to Downstream Finance Strategy and Planning function, the Downstream President and other members of Downstream Executive Management.
• Prepare research and analysis for consumption by Downstream Executive Management, the Downstream Investment and Strategy Committee, or other Corporate Committees.
• Collaborate in a group of strategists responsible for articulating the overall Downstream Strategy for the Company, as well as the formulation of energy outlook scenarios.
• Collaborate in a group of strategists and planners responsible for development of the Downstream's longer‑term strategic plans—including capital resource allocation plans.
• Build strong relationships with subject matter experts across the Company, as well as from think tanks and other industry advisory bodies, to keep abreast of key developments in the Downstream business globally and other arenas that could impact the SaudiAramco Downstream's competitive performance. This includes analysis of developments in technology, geopolitics, sustainability, other relevant regulations, Saudi Arabia’s government plans, and the Downstream industry in general.
• Independently initiate research on wide‑ranging topics that examine long‑term scenarios that might impact the Company’s competitive advantage in the Downstream business.
• Prepare research and special studies and analyses as required for the Strategic Council and other Corporate Committees.
• Lead and/or collaborate on strategic projects to execute decisions resulting from strategic analyses.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Financial Management or related fields.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in refining, chemicals, trading and retail marketing, with an international integrated Downstream company or a global energy think tank/consultancy—of which at least 5 years were in strategy formulation, scenario planning or strategic planning.
• Demonstrable experience in change management.
• Excellent English communication skills and proficiency in written and oral storytelling.
