Job summary

Qiddiya is seeking a Senior Specialist – Cloud Operations to manage, monitor, and optimize enterprise cloud environments. You will ensure services remain secure, available, and cost-efficient while driving automation and operational improvements.

In this role, you will provide L3 technical support, implement patching and lifecycle activities, and collaborate with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and DevOps teams to support migrations and new solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Typically 5–8 years of relevant IT/infrastructure experience with cloud operations.
• Hands-on experience with major platforms: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong focus on availability, security, cost efficiency, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Operate, administer, monitor, and support enterprise cloud platforms and services.
• Ensure the availability, stability, performance, and operational readiness of cloud environments.
• Provide L3 technical support for complex cloud incidents, service requests, and change requests.
• Perform cloud platform patching, upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, and lifecycle activities.
• Implement automation to improve operational efficiency and reduce repetitive manual activities.
• Support cloud security controls, identity and access management, configuration standards, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Support incident, problem, and change management activities, including root-cause analysis for recurring or critical issues.
• Monitor cloud utilization and support FinOps/cost optimization activities to improve resource efficiency.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, runbooks, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Network, Application, Architecture, and DevOps teams to resolve operational issues and support new solutions.
• Support cloud migrations, deployments, configuration changes, and integration with on-premises infrastructure.
• Maintain monitoring, alerting, backup, recovery, and high-availability capabilities.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in cloud reliability, scalability, security, and operational processes.

The Senior Specialist – Cloud Operations is responsible for the day-to-day operation, administration, monitoring, and optimization of the organization’s cloud environments. The role ensures cloud services remain available, secure, reliable, and cost-efficient, while providing advanced technical support and driving automation and continuous operational improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, administer, monitor, and support enterprise cloud platforms and services.
• Ensure the availability, stability, performance, and operational readiness of cloud environments.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure and proactively identify and resolve performance, capacity, availability, and configuration issues.
• Provide L3 technical support for complex cloud incidents, service requests, and change requests, consistent with the responsibilities referenced in your internal material.
• Perform cloud platform patching, upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, and lifecycle activities.
• Implement automation to improve operational efficiency and reduce repetitive manual activities.
• Support cloud security controls, identity and access management, configuration standards, backup, and disaster recovery.
