Job summary

Shapoorji Pallonji Mideast LLC., Riyadh seeks an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to oversee commercial aspects of major MEP packages on a Saudi project.

The candidate should hold a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree with 8–10 years of MEP QS experience, and be proficient in contract conditions and cost control. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Planning and Procurement teams to ensure timely commercial decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 8–10 years of experience in MEP quantity surveying.
• Experience with contract forms (FIDIC or similar) is a plus.
• Strong cost control and commercial reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans and cash flow forecasts for MEP works.
• Monitor project costs and report variances against approved budgets.
• Assist in value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
• Measure MEP works accurately per contract and standard methods of measurement.
• Prepare, submit and evaluate interim payment applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project budgets cost plans and cash flow forecasts for MEP works


• Monitor project costs and report variances against approved budgets


• Assist in value engineering and cost optimization initiatives


• Measure MEP works accurately in accordance with contract and standard methods of measurement


• Prepare submit and evaluate interim payment applications


• Certify subcontractor payments and verify work progress


• Identify prepare and evaluate variations and change orders


• Prepare and assess claims related to time and cost EOT prolongation etc


• Maintain proper records to support commercial claims


• Assist in administration of MEP contracts FIDIC or similar forms


• Draft and manage contractual correspondence with clients consultants and subcontractors


• Ensure compliance with contract conditions and company procedures


• Prepare tender documents and commercial evaluations for MEP subcontract packages


• Participate in negotiations and subcontract awards


• Monitor subcontractor performance from a commercial perspective


• Prepare monthly cost reports financial statements and forecasts


• Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation


• Work closely with Project Managers Engineers Planning and Procurement teams


• Attend project meetings and provide commercial input


• Support QS Manager in overall commercial management of the project
