The Senior Quantity Surveyor will provide commercial and cost management oversight throughout the project lifecycle, helping project teams understand financial exposure, control expenditure, and maintain alignment between design development, procurement strategy, construction progress, and approved budgets. The position requires strong technical judgment because cost information must remain accurate even as project scope, quantities, market conditions, and contractual requirements evolve. Detailed measurement, cost forecasting, tender evaluation, variation management, and commercial reporting will therefore form a central part of the role. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will also contribute to team capability by reviewing junior staff outputs, explaining commercial principles, and promoting consistent measurement and reporting practices across project assignments.

Ideal Profile

Candidates should have at least 10 years of professional experience in quantity surveying, construction cost management, commercial management, or a closely related discipline. A bachelor 's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required unless equivalent professional experience provides comparable technical competence. Strong experience with construction cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, quantity measurement, procurement, and contract administration is essential. Candidates should have practical experience working with tender documentation, contractor quotations, commercial evaluations, variations, payment assessments, and project cost reporting. Experience supporting Roads and Transportation Authority projects within the Middle East is required by the source requirements. Previous RTA approval or equivalent professional recognition is preferred. The successful candidate should have advanced knowledge of quantity surveying software, CAD applications, land-information systems where relevant, Microsoft Office, and project management tools. A strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, commercial management principles, and cost control methodologies is required. Candidates should be capable of independently analyzing complex project information and providing reliable commercial recommendations to project leadership.
