Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee commercial and contractual management for major infrastructure projects. The role requires leading measurement, cost control, and contract administration, with responsibility for variation claims and cost impact assessments.

You will review BOQs and valuations, conduct risk analyses, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with finance, planning, and engineering teams while engaging in client and contractor negotiations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of pre- and post-contract cost management on major infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in cost planning, estimating, tendering, payment certification, variations, and final accounts.
• Strong stakeholder management and commercial reporting capabilities.
• MRICS qualification preferred.

Job Description Overview

Senior Quantity Surveyor activities, oversees commercial and contractual management, and ensures accurate cost tracking for infrastructure projects.

Your role

Lead measurement, cost control, and contract administration activities. Prepare major variation claims, cost impact assessments, and commercial reports. Review and approve BOQs, quantity breakdowns, and valuations. Conduct risk analysis for cost overruns and provide mitigation strategies. Mentor junior QS staff and coordinate with finance, planning, and engineering teams. Participate in client and contractor negotiations and project reviews.

About you

Senior Quantity Surveyor with 10+ years of experience in pre- and post-contract cost management for major infrastructure projects. Proven experience in cost planning, estimating, tendering, payment certification, variations, claims, final accounts, commercial reporting, and stakeholder management. Experience working on large-scale infrastructure and development programmes. MRICS qualification preferred.
