Job summary

Salla is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to own product quality across the platform. You will define testing strategy, adapt workflows, and lead manual and automated testing using Playwright in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Product, and DevOps to ensure reliable releases, analyze defects, and drive preventive improvements. This hands-on role requires strong JS/TS skills and a proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA experience with ownership of releases and quality decisions.
• Strong experience in both manual and automated testing.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript for Playwright automation.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience with Git and GitHub, and CI pipelines.
• Familiarity with testing web, mobile, and APIs.
• Ability to leverage browser DevTools for debugging.
• Experience using AI tools to speed up testing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end quality from requirements to go/no-go release decisions.
• Define and refine the QA approach, standards, workflows, and metrics.
• Decide test scope, depth, and approach (functional, regression, API, UI, performance, security).
• Perform thorough manual and exploratory testing on new features.
• Build and maintain Playwright automation in CI for quick feedback.
• Review code and pull requests and provide constructive feedback.
• Triage defects to find root causes and prioritize fixes.
• Identify patterns to prevent recurring issues and improve processes.
• Leverage AI to speed up test creation, analysis, and debugging.
• Communicate risks and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Mentor other QA engineers and promote quality culture.
