Job summary

ETAP in Dhahran is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead site commissioning and project engineering on complex electrical projects. You will coordinate testing of SCADA, PPC and PPC/MGC applications, and develop installation and validation plans for client acceptance.

The role requires a strong background in electrical protection and control, with knowledge of Modbus, IEC 61850, DNP and related protocols, plus 8–10 years in Renewable Solar SCADA and Oil & Gas.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Instrument/Electronic & Telecommunication/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8–10 years of renewable solar SCADA and Oil & Gas experience.
• Site Commissioning knowledge and capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead site commissioning and project engineering activities.
• Perform SAT and client acceptance tests.
• Coordinate SCADA, PPC/MGC testing and demonstrations.
• Develop installation and validation documents for client approvals.
• Coordinate with suppliers and clients to align schedules.

The job

In this role, you will be responsible for site commissioning, project engineering, technical lead, perform site acceptance test as per approved client format, prepare site report, conducting communication point to point testing with multiple electrical equipment’s on standard communication protocol. In addition, performing SCADA, PPC/MGC application testing and demonstration.

Key Responsibilities

• Power System Expert in electrical Protection and Control System. Technical knowledge on multiple communication protocol such as Modbus, IEC 61850, DNP, IEC 60870-50-104
• Site Teamwork progress monitoring and distribution as per customer commissioning schedule. Develop, implement, test, and troubleshoot Communication systems utilizing the experience of IP networking, UDP/TCP/IP, switching and routing, firewalls, gateways, GPRS/EDGE/3G/4G modems, etc.
• Co-ordinate and execute SAT, provide validation support and customer training, and ensure compliance with project requirements. Conduct and supervise field installation of new or retrofit equipment and prepare instructional installation documents for clients and project teams.
• SCADA Software implementation and design as per customer specification. Testing and troubleshooting SCADA Software Application and Fix it. Prepare, coordinate, execute factory and site acceptance test along with commissioning of SCADA/PPC/MGC/SPM system to the client's satisfaction, provide on-site customer training, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Strategic Planning & analysis on short term and long-term project commissioning. SCADA and PPC Commissioning Experience in Renewable Field.
• Renewable SCADA Solar Performance Monitoring System Knowledge. Weather Monitoring System and forecasting system for small and long-term forecasting system.
• Site Engineer for meeting & coordination works with all equipment suppliers and clients. Schedule, Report Preparation, and work alignment with Site Engineer Team.

Essential Requirements

• Graduate in Instrument/Electronic & Telecommunication/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 8-10 years of working experience in Renewable Solar SCADA and Oil & Gas
• Site Commissioning Knowledge
