Watania Steel seeks an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist / Supervisor to lead sourcing and purchasing of MRO supplies across the plant. The ideal candidate will bring steel-industry procurement know-how and strong vendor management skills.

You will manage end-to-end procurement activities, negotiate contracts, and coordinate with maintenance, operations, and warehouse teams to align purchasing with plant needs. Saudi market knowledge is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of relevant steel industry procurement experience.
• Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration preferred.
• Saudi nationals preferred; expatriates with Saudi market knowledge acceptable.

Watania Steel is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist / Supervisor to lead sourcing and purchasing of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) supplies. The successful candidate will bring strong steel-industry procurement expertise, deep knowledge of the local supplier market, and proven negotiation and vendor management skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead end-to-end procurement of MRO supplies, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
• Develop and maintain a strong vendor base; identify and qualify new suppliers for MRO categories.
• Conduct competitive sourcing, cost/price analysis, and commercial negotiations with suppliers.
• Manage contracts and service agreements with MRO vendors, ensuring compliance with commercial terms.
• Execute Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO) accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor market prices and sourcing trends to support cost-saving initiatives.
• Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and warehouse teams to align procurement with plant needs.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience: 5–8 years of relevant experience in the steel industry.
• Education: Preferably a degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
• Nationality: Saudi nationals are preferred; qualified and experienced expatriates are also acceptable. Candidates currently residing in KSA with solid knowledge of the Saudi market are preferred.
• Purchase Categories: Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) supplies.
• Industry Experience: Hands‑on procurement experience within steel manufacturing or a similar heavy industrial environment.
• Market Knowledge: Strong knowledge of relevant suppliers, market prices, sourcing strategies, and commercial negotiations.
• Key Skills: Competitive sourcing, vendor development, cost negotiation, contract management, and effective PR/PO execution.
