Job summary

Matar Holding is seeking a highly motivated Procurement Engineer to manage procurement for Saudi Aramco and other oil & gas projects within our fabrication facility. You will source suppliers, negotiate terms, issue POs, expedit e, and coordinate logistics to ensure timely material delivery for production and project execution.

The candidate should have 5–8 years of procurement experience in fabrication, with familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards and a network of approved suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Professional procurement certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Source and procure materials, equipment and services for Saudi Aramco fabrication projects.
  • Identify and develop reliable local and international suppliers.
  • Obtain quotations, perform commercial evaluations, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with project specifications, Saudi Aramco requirements, and company procurement policies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Aramco-approved vendors and manufacturers.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, pricing, and service.
  • Conduct supplier audits and vendor qualification activities when required.
  • Maintain an updated approved vendor list.
  • Coordinate closely with Engineering, QA/QC, Planning, Production, and Project Management teams.
  • Review MR, BOM, and technical specifications.
  • Monitor procurement schedules to ensure timely material availability.
  • Expedite suppliers to prevent project delays.
  • Resolve procurement-related technical and commercial issues.
  • Ensure procurement documentation is complete and traceable.
  • Verify compliance with Saudi Aramco specifications such as SAMSS, IR Form, SAEP, Inspection Requirements, PIM, ASME codes, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate material inspection, certification, and documentation before delivery.
  • Maintain procurement reports and supplier performance records.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing and negotiations.
  • Analyze market trends and recommend alternative suppliers or materials where appropriate.
  • Support inventory optimization and procurement planning.

Matar Holding is seeking a highly motivated and experiencedProcurement Engineerto manage procurement activities forSaudi Aramcoand other Oil & Gas projects within our fabrication facility. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience procuring materials and services for the manufacturing ofPressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers, Structural Steel, Process Equipment, HVAC and Piping Systemsin accordance with Saudi Aramco and international standards.

The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for the complete procurement cycle, including supplier sourcing, commercial negotiations, purchase order management, expediting, vendor evaluation, logistics coordination, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials required for production and project execution. The successful candidate should have strong knowledge of the Saudi market, Aramco-approved suppliers, and fabrication industry procurement practices.

Should have hands on experience in Pressure Vessel, Heat Exchanger, Skids manufacturing companies.

Procurement & Sourcing
  • Source and procure materials, equipment, and services for Saudi Aramco fabrication projects.

Material Procurement

  • Heat Exchanger components

  • Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel plates
  • Pipes, fittings, and flanges
  • Valves and instrumentation items
  • Welding consumables
  • Fabrication tools and production consumables
  • Mechanical equipment and spare parts
  • Electrical and instrumentation materials
Vendor Management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Aramco-approved vendors and manufacturers.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, pricing, and service.
  • Conduct supplier audits and vendor qualification activities when required.
