Job summary

Lucid Motors in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Sr Automation Engineer, Powertrain, to own PLC architecture, SCADA, historian, MES-OT integration, and OT cybersecurity across AMP-2 Powertrain lines in a greenfield plant, ramping to SOP by June 2027. You will ensure standards, uptime, data integration, and cybersecurity while transferring ownership to the Saudi workforce.

The role requires disciplined change control, objective launch evidence, and cross‑functional problem solving with the Powertrain

Qualifications

• Experience designing PLC architectures and standards.
• Proficient with SCADA and historian systems for plant data.
• Experience with MES integration and OT cybersecurity.
• Ability to lead FAT/SAT and drive change control.

Responsibilities

• Define and enforce PLC architecture and coding standards for Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell Studio 5000.
• Own safety PLC deployment and functional safety compliance.
• Maintain PLC program library, version-control, and change-management.
• Lead FAT/SAT for automated Powertrain equipment.
• Own SCADA architecture and standards (Ignition, WinCC, or FactoryTalk View SE).
• Deploy historian systems (OSIsoft PI, Ignition Historian, or equivalent) for performance data.
