Job summary

BEC Arabia in Khobar, Saudi Arabia, seeks a Planning Engineer to join the Project Controls Department. You will develop and monitor project schedules for mega projects spanning commercial, industrial, and government sectors, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

Lead scheduling activities using Primavera P6 and MS Project, analyze critical paths, and ensure timely execution while aligning with client expectations and Saudi Vision 2030 goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling in construction/engineering.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Strong understanding of CPM and EVM.
• Familiarity with SBC and regulatory standards.
• Registration with Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and ensure alignment with objectives.
• Monitor progress against baseline schedules and provide updates to managers.
• Analyze critical paths, resource allocations, and delays; propose corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project teams to gather progress data and bottlenecks.
• Prepare and present progress reports, including earned value analysis.
• Ensure compliance with planning standards, contractual requirements, and regulations.
• Collaborate with cost control to integrate scheduling and budgeting.
• Support tendering with preliminary schedules and resource plans.
