Job summary

Power International Holding (PIH) is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to lead planning and scheduling for engineering projects. You will develop detailed schedules, coordinate with multiple departments, monitor progress, and mitigate risks to meet timelines and budgets.

You will analyze requirements, allocate resources, and provide regular status updates, ensuring compliance with policies and IMS standards. Mentorship and continuous improvement are also emphasized.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Engineering fundamentals.
• Principles of planning and knowledge in principles and practices of research and data collection.
• Familiar with planning practices and software such as Primavera P6.
• Knowledge in data collection methods and research practices.
• Familiar with local and international construction standards.
• ERP knowledge, SAP functional skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules with tasks, milestones and deliverables.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and stakeholders to gather requirements, set priorities and define scope.
• Monitor progress against schedules, identify deviations and risks, implement corrective actions.
• Lead regular project status meetings, provide updates on progress, resource use and impacts.
• Analyze data to identify trends and improvement opportunities, adjust schedules and resources accordingly.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics and supply chain to ensure timely material delivery.
• Prepare and distribute reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing schedules and performance.
• Mentor junior planning engineers and project teams to foster accountability and excellence in scheduling.

The Senior Planning Engineer is responsible to oversee and manage the planning and scheduling activities for engineering projects within an organization. This role involves developing detailed project schedules, coordinating with various departments, and monitoring progress to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, Senior Planning Engineers analyze project requirements, allocate resources, and identify potential risks to mitigate delays and optimize project outcomes. They play a critical role in facilitating communication among project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, and implementing adjustments to schedules as needed to meet project objectives.

Job Responsibilities 1

Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, incorporating all tasks, milestones, and deliverables to ensure project timelines are accurately represented.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements, establish priorities, and define project scope.

Monitor project progress against established schedules, identifying deviations, delays, and potential risks, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Conduct regular project status meetings, providing updates on schedule performance, resource utilization, and potential impacts on project outcomes.

Analyze project data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of concern, and recommend appropriate adjustments to schedules and resource allocation.

Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources needed for project execution.

Prepare and distribute reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing project schedules, progress, and performance indicators for internal and external stakeholders.

Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior planning engineers and project teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence in project scheduling and management.

Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in project management and scheduling to inform continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards in all aspects of project scheduling and management.

Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies
