Job summary

Alkhorayef Petroleum Company in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Planning Specialist responsible for end-to-end manufacturing planning, including MRP/RRP within Oracle Fusion and MES integration. You will maintain planning master data, resolve MRP alerts, and coordinate with Production to ensure on-time schedules.

The role requires a strong background in production planning, data analysis, and ERP systems, with 3–5 years of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years experience in manufacturing planning (production and material).
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Strong knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
• MS Office and ERP systems experience, preferably Oracle Fusion.

Responsibilities

• Assist in executing and maintaining MRP and RRP within Oracle Fusion.
• Maintain planning master data (lead times, safety stock, planning parameters).
• Review and resolve MRP exception messages daily to maintain schedule integrity.
• Coordinate with Production Supervisors to align MPS with capacity constraints.
• Support MES configuration and continuous improvement, integrating real-time shop floor data.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Supply Chain to reduce lead times using MES and data analysis.
• Release inventory PRs to Purchasing to ensure material availability.
• Facilitate inventory transfers between Business Units to optimize stock usage.
• Collaborate with Sustaining Engineering to repurpose non-finished goods inventory to reduce obsolescence.
• Serve as liaison between Engineering and Purchasing to procure samples prior to full-scale purchasing.
• Monitor open orders and escalate urgent requirements to Purchasing.
• Update the Material Shortage Report with Purchasing and Planning for shortages and recovery plans.
• Advise on shipment modes and coordinate with Customer Service for alignment with operations.
• Track inventory metrics and identify opportunities for improvement (cycle time, stock levels).
• Participate in Kaizen/Lean/Six Sigma initiatives focused on planning efficiency.
• Generate regular planning performance reports for MPS adherence, MRP execution, lead times, and capacity.
