SkyeBiz is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to join the Security Operations and Engineering team in Stellenbosch. You will own the design, implementation and continuous improvement of secure network environments, guiding more junior specialists and acting as the technical authority on network security.

You will work with SOC, infrastructure, cloud/endpoint teams and client stakeholders to strengthen posture, improve detection, and lead incident response for network-related events,

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in network security engineering with senior/lead experience.
• Hands-on with enterprise firewalls, VPN technologies and IDS/IPS.
• Strong TCP/IP, DNS, routing and network protocol knowledge.
• Experience designing network security architectures and leading incident response.
• Automation or scripting experience for network tasks.
• Relevant certifications listed in the profile.

Responsabilités

• Design, deploy and manage enterprise firewall platforms with high availability.
• Architect network segmentation, policy governance and secure rulesets.
• Review designs and provide security input on new projects.
• Lead incident response for network-related events and breaches.
• Mentor L1/L2 engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Maintain documentation, change management and playbooks.
