Job summary

Decima International seeks an experienced MEP Site Engineer to supervise and coordinate installation of MEP systems for a major data center project in Saudi Arabia. The role requires ensuring works comply with drawings, specifications, and standards, and supporting inspections, testing, commissioning, and interface coordination across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Professional registration or certification relevant to MEP.
• Minimum 10 years of overall professional experience.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant MEP construction or site engineering experience.
• Minimum 6 years on similar large-scale projects.
• Strong experience in MEP installation and construction supervision.
• Experience with cooling, electrical distribution, mechanical, plumbing, controls, or other mission-critical MEP infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of drawings, specs, inspection requirements, and construction standards.
• Experience witnessing inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Strong coordination across MEP, CSA, commissioning, QA/QC, and contractor teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor MEP installation works for compliance with drawings, specs, method statements, and standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor workmanship, installation quality, and progress.
• Witness inspections, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities for MEP systems.
• Review installation readiness and coordinate inspection requests with QA/QC teams.
• Coordinate interfaces between MEP, CSA, commissioning, vendors, and contractor teams.
• Monitor contractor progress, manpower, material availability, and work sequencing.
• Identify installation deficiencies and communicate corrective actions.
• Report deficiencies and risks to the Senior Construction Manager.
• Support technical queries, site issues, and coordination conflicts.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, method statements, and installation documentation.
• Verify alignment with design intent and project requirements.
• Support progress measurement and site status reporting.
• Coordinate punch list closure and outstanding works with contractors and vendors.
• Support system testing, energization, and commissioning activities.
• Maintain inspection records, test results, and site documentation.
• Participate in site coordination, technical, and progress meetings.
• Support final turnover, handover, and closeout documentation.
