Job summary

BEC Arabia is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to join the Quantity Surveying Department in Khobar. The role focuses on cost management, contract administration, and MEP coordination across government mega-projects and commercial developments.

Responsibilities include preparing detailed cost estimates, budget control, and reviewing contractor bids, while ensuring SBC and ARAMCO compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of quantity surveying experience focused on MEP systems.
• SCE registration or eligibility to register.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, AutoCAD, CostX or similar cost estimation software.
• Strong knowledge of SBC and ARAMCO standards.
• Experience in contract management and value engineering.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with GOSI and Saudi labor regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Develop and manage budgets for MEP components across projects.
• Conduct value engineering analyses to optimize costs.
• Review and evaluate contractor bids for MEP works.
• Monitor expenditures and ensure alignment with budgets.
• Prepare and manage contracts for MEP works in compliance with Saudi regulations.
• Coordinate with design and engineering teams for integrated MEP plans.
• Ensure compliance with SBC and ARAMCO standards.
• Lead site inspections and audits of MEP installations.
• Generate reports on cost performance, contract status, and risk assessments.
• Mentor junior quantity surveyors and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with procurement to source materials and subcontractors.
