Job summary

KEO International Consultants is seeking a Senior MEP Electrical Engineer in Riyadh to lead electrical construction works and ensure conformity with designs, standards, and regulations. You will coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to drive testing, commissioning, and handover activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in electrical construction supervision within building or infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience supervising electrical installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration or equivalent professional registration, as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Oversee installation of power distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, generators, lighting, emergency power and low-current systems.
• Review electrical shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and technical submissions.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with quality assurance and quality control requirements.
• Monitor contractor progress, workmanship and installation activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules.
• Coordinate electrical works with mechanical, civil, structural and architectural disciplines to resolve site interface issues.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC 401/801), SEC standards, SASO, NFPA and relevant authority regulations.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, review RFIs and provide engineering recommendations.
• Witness electrical testing and commissioning, including insulation resistance, earthing and equipment testing.
• Oversee energisation, system integration and commissioning activities.
• Monitor and close out site observations, non-conformance reports and snagging items.
• Review as-built drawings, O&M manuals and technical documentation to support project handover and the Defects Liability Period.
