Job summary

Penspen Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer-Rotating for a major Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) project in Saudi Arabia. Lead rotating equipment activities across FEED, detail design, and EPC phases for oil & gas facilities.

Candidates should have 12+ years in mechanical engineering with strong familiarity with API/ASME/ISO standards and Saudi Aramco environments. Role involves cross-discipline coordination and technical mentoring.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, rotating equipment.
• Experience in FEED/EPC projects preferred.
• Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the rotating equipment engineering activities for FEED, detailed design, and EPC phases of oil & gas projects.
• Develop data sheets, specifications, and requisitions for rotating equipment such as compressors, pumps, turbines, blowers, and packaged systems.
• Review vendor offers, perform technical bid evaluations, and participate in vendor meetings and design reviews.
• Ensure compliance with API, ASME, ISO, and other relevant international standards.
• Coordinate with process, piping, instrumentation, and electrical disciplines for equipment integration.
• Review vendor documents (GA drawings, datasheets, performance curves, etc.) and ensure timely approval.
• Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and design review workshops.
• Mentor junior engineers and review their deliverables for quality and accuracy.
• Support client and internal audits and ensure adherence to project quality and safety standards.
