Job summary

Penspen seeks a Senior Loss Control Engineer for Alkhafji, Saudi Arabia. You will report to the FEED/Technical Leader within Core Technical or PMT teams and coordinate with discipline personnel to ensure safety deliverables meet project requirements.

The role requires 12+ years in safety and loss prevention for major Oil & Gas projects, with 6+ years in the field. A Bachelor's degree in engineering is required; proficiency in MS Office is essential; knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of experience, with at least 6 years in Safety/Loss Prevention for major Oil & Gas/Petrochemical projects.
• PMC experience is preferable for similar roles.
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Desktop Standards and procedures is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Pre FEED/EPC Preliminary Hazard Assessments are included in FEED/EPC deliverables.
• Review and approve all technical safety deliverables by FEED/EPC contractor.
• Review and approve Fire Water network calculations and demand.
• Review and approve Fire & Gas detection systems.
• Review and approve passive fire protection systems.
• Review and approve fire water tanks, pumps, and water mist systems.

Job Description

• The Senior Loss Control Engineer will report to the FEED/Technical Leader, if serving in the Core Technical team, or to the Project Head/Senior Project Engineer if serving within the PMT Teams. The Senior Loss Control Engineer will liaise with other discipline personnel in the Technical Core Team or PMT teams as appropriate to his area of service.

Required Experience Criteria in years

• At least Twelve (12) years of experience; Six (6) years of them within the field of Safety / Loss prevention for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical projects; or closely related project types.
• PMC experience at similar role for at least several years is preferable.
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Desktop Standard and procedures/practices is beneficial.
• Previous exposure to construction and commissioning phases is beneficial but not mandatory.

Computer literate with all MS Packages, particularly Word and Excel proficient.

Minimum Education Qualification Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related Engineering discipline.

The job location will be based on Alkhafji , Saudi Arabia.
