Job summary

Deutsche Post (DHL Group) is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel - GCC Saudi Cluster to support the Head of Legal in managing legal matters across Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Yemen. The role focuses on Saudi regulatory developments under Vision 2030 and cross-border matters within the GCC, partnering with senior leaders to enable strategic transactions and risk management.

You will provide high-level legal guidance, oversee contracts, governance, and compliance, and lead or support litigation

Qualifications

• University degree in Law; professional legal qualification is strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of legal experience in commercial law.
• Experience advising clients in Saudi Arabia.
• Fluent Arabic language skills mandatory with Arabic documents/regulatory familiarity.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi commercial law and Vision 2030 implications.
• Experience with Saudisation/Nitaqat and local content requirements is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level legal advice to country and regional management and business unit leadership across the GCC Saudi Cluster.
• Support the Head of Legal in developing and implementing the legal strategy for the cluster.
• Identify, assess and mitigate legal and regulatory risks while enabling commercial opportunities.
• Advise on Saudi commercial, corporate, employment and regulatory law, including Vision 2030.
• Support contracts, negotiations, customer and supplier matters, governance, regulatory compliance and strategic projects.
• Advise on joint ventures, commercial agency arrangements and ownership structures.
• Support and lead litigation, arbitration, disputes and regulatory investigations.
• Provide legal support for strategic investments, real estate and major projects.
• Advise on competition law, data protection, tax, customs and trade compliance.
• Navigate Saudi local content, Saudisation/Nitaqat and other regulatory obligations.
