Job summary

Salla is seeking a Sr. Integration Support Specialist to design and optimize integrations between our Ecommerce SaaS platform and external systems such as ERP, CRM, and payment gateways.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect scalable integration solutions and ensure best practices across APIs and security. The ideal candidate brings deep API knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and a track record of delivering high-quality integration outcomes for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience as an Integration Engineer, preferably in Ecommerce or SaaS.
• Strong proficiency in API design, RESTful APIs, SOAP, and related integration technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop integration architectures that connect our Ecommerce SaaS platform with external systems (ERP, CRM, payment gateways, and other third-party apps).
• Design and maintain high-quality APIs, define specifications, and ensure industry-standard compliance.
• Conduct thorough testing of API integrations for functionality, data accuracy, and error handling.
• Collaborate with clients to tailor integration workflows and ensure scalability and reliability.
• Investigate and resolve integration issues, providing expert troubleshooting guidance.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to align integration efforts with product goals and architecture.
• Create and maintain documentation for integration processes, APIs, and troubleshooting guides.
• Manage API versioning and upgrades while preserving backward compatibility.
• Stay updated on ecommerce integration trends and emerging technologies to enhance capabilities.
• Implement secure authentication/authorization for APIs and enforce data privacy.
• Optimize API performance with caching, load balancing, and robust error handling.

Responsibilities:

• Integration Architecture: Design and develop robust integration architectures that enable smooth communication between our Ecommerce SaaS platform and external systems such as ERP, CRM, payment gateways, and other third-party applications.

• API Integration Designing: Design and maintain high-quality APIs to facilitate data exchange and system interoperability. Collaborate with internal teams to define API specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Integration Testing: Conduct through testing of API integrations to ensure functionality, data accuracy, and error handling.

• Customization: Work closely with clients to understand their specific integration requirements and provide tailored solutions. Customize integration workflows to meet unique business needs while maintaining scalability and reliability.

• Troubleshooting and Support: Investigate and resolve integration-related issues promptly. Provide technical support to clients and internal teams, offering expertise on integration best practices and troubleshooting techniques.

• Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to align integration efforts with overall product development and business objectives, and architect scalable solutions.

• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration processes, APIs, and troubleshooting guides. Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and accessible to internal teams and clients.

• Versioning and Upgrades: Manage API versioning and handle upgrades while ensuring backward compatibility when necessary.

• Stay Updated: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to Ecommerce integrations. Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies that can enhance our integration capabilities.

• Security and Authentication: Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms for API endpoints, ensuring data privacy and integrity.

• Optimize API: Optimize API performance, scalability, and reliability through proper caching, load balancing, and error handling strategies.

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience (4+ years) as an Integration Engineer, preferably in the Ecommerce or SaaS domain.
• Strong proficiency in API design principles and patterns.
• Expertise in integration technologies such as RESTful APIs, SOAP, Webhooks, messaging queues and other web service technologies.
• Hands-on experience with authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, and OAuth/OpenID Connect.
• Strong knowledge of API security best practices, including encryption, tokenization, and identity management.
• Experience with Ecommerce platforms and their APIs (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce).
• Familiarity with common third-party APIs (e.g., payment gateways, shipping services).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members.
