Job summary

Dar Al Riyadh Group is seeking a senior healthcare planning lead to drive medical planning and space programming for hospitals, clinics, and specialized centers in Riyadh. You will develop clinical department layouts, coordinate with clinicians and engineers, and ensure compliance with NFPA/ADA/JCIA and local regs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in a relevant architecture/healthcare field.
• Minimum 10 years of healthcare planning or hospital design experience.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office; Smartsheet is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 99, ADA, JCIA, and local regulations.
• Ability to interpret clinical workflows and develop code-compliant layouts.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
• Experience in space programming for hospitals and medical centers.

Responsibilities

• Lead medical planning and space programming for healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and specialized medical centers.
• Develop functional layouts for clinical departments such as OR, ICU, Imaging, ED, Outpatient, Inpatient, Laboratories, Admin Areas.
• Collaborate with clinicians, hospital admins, architects, engineers and consultants to translate workflows.
• Prepare space programs, adjacency diagrams, room data sheets, and departmental planning docs.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA, ADA, JCIA and local healthcare regulations.
• Coordinate medical equipment planning with architectural, MEP, and engineering teams.
• Review drawings to align with healthcare planning requirements.
• Participate in all project phases from concept to commissioning.
• Support design reviews, technical workshops, and client presentations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize facility functionality, patient safety, efficiency and flexibility.
