Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience in health and safety management, preferably in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, industry standards, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with the capacity to convey complex safety concepts to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated experience in incident management, root cause analysis, and safety training delivery.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to safety management.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee health and safety management systems specific to the QPAC project.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards.
• Lead incident investigations, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
• Design and deliver customized health and safety training programs.
• Monitor health and safety performance metrics and prepare detailed reports for management.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety practices into project planning.
