Job summary

Egis is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer for our Saudi Arabia operations. The role focuses on reviewing fire protection and firefighting designs across concept to shop drawings to ensure compliance with Saudi Civil Defence codes and client standards.

You will verify system performance and the alignment of calculations with the project strategy. The candidate will bring a strong background in NFPA-based design, local regulatory knowledge, and a track record of project reviews in major

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or related discipline.
• NFPA CFPS certification; CWBSP certification.
• Minimum 10 years in fire protection design/technical review.
• Minimum 5–7 years in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with knowledge of local Civil Defence requirements.
• Experience reviewing fire protection and alternative systems for code compliance and authority approval.

Responsibilities

• Review fire protection and firefighting design submissions at concept, schematic, detailed design and shop drawings.
• Review fire protection drawings, specifications, design calculations, equipment schedules, technical reports and supporting documentation.
• Review design and adequacy of systems including sprinkler, hydrant, pumps, water storage, foam, water mist, clean-agent, pre-action and deluge systems.
• Review system zoning, hydraulic demand, water supply, equipment arrangement and interface requirements.
• Verify that design calculations and equipment selections align with proposed fire protection strategy and requirements.
