Job summary

Egis in Riyadh seeks a Senior Fire Alarm Engineer to lead the review of fire alarm and detection submissions for complex buildings. You will assess drawings, calculations, equipment schedules and interfaces with life-safety systems in line with NFPA 72 and Saudi Civil Defence requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Electronics or Fire Protection Engineering, 10+ years of relevant experience, and familiarity with KSA submissions.

Qualifications

• NFPA 72 knowledge and life-safety systems expertise.
• Experience in technical review of fire alarm/detection systems.
• Familiarity with Saudi Civil Defence requirements and approval processes.
• Strong ability to review drawings, calculations, and submissions.

Responsibilities

• Review fire alarm and detection system submissions at design and construction stages.
• Review drawings, specs, design reports, calculations, equipment schedules, models, and other submissions.
• Review designs and applications of addressable, automatic, smoke/heat/flame and other detectors.
• Verify detector types, spacing, coverage, zoning and device locations against codes.
• Review fire alarm loop configurations, architecture, and power/battery requirements.
• Verify interfaces with fire protection and life-safety systems.
