Job summary

Qiddiya is seeking an experienced Fire & Life Safety engineering professional to lead design strategies for city-wide masterplanning, infrastructure and asset developments. The role encompasses developing FLS strategies, reviewing calculations, and guiding teams including LDCs and third-party consultants through all design stages.

The ideal candidate will have 8–15 years of FLS experience, with strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code, NFPA standards, and performance-based fire engineering.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Fire & Life Safety engineering and design for large-scale developments.
• Proven capability in developing and reviewing FLS strategies and smoke management systems.
• Experience coordinating with architects, MEP, and delivery teams to integrate FLS.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of Fire & Life Safety design strategies for complex projects.
• Act as senior FLS authority on code compliance and design adequacy.
• Review submissions and challenge designs to ensure robust engineering solutions.
• Develop and assess fire engineering solutions including smoke control and evacuation.
• Advise on Saudi Building Code, NFPA standards and best practices.
• Coordinate with diverse teams to integrate FLS requirements early in design.
• Support authority engagement and third-party FLS reviews.
