Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for Data Centre projects in Riyadh to lead electrical design reviews and ensure high-reliability power for critical infrastructure.

You will supervise on-site construction, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and support FAT/SAT and handover in Tier-rated data centre environments. Strong communication and international-standard knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in electrical engineering on large-scale construction projects.
• Proven data centre or high-reliability electrical systems experience.
• Strong ability to review designs, supervise sites, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with international standards and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical design review for power and low-current systems to ensure compliance with project specs and data centre best practices.
• Review and validate MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, grounding, lighting, ELV, and critical power infrastructure.
• Supervise electrical works on site with emphasis on quality, safety, and conformity to drawings and method statements.
• Coordinate with mechanical, architectural, ICT and commissioning teams for integrated electrical systems.
• Identify design gaps and risks; propose practical solutions.
• Support FAT/SAT for major electrical equipment.
• Monitor contractor progress, review submittals, and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Ensure electrical installations meet reliability and redundancy requirements of Tier-rated data centres.
• Participate in commissioning and support handover documentation.

• Review and validate designs for MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, generators, grounding, lighting, ELV systems, and critical power infrastructure.
• Supervise electrical works on site, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to approved drawings and method statements.
• Coordinate with mechanical, architectural, ICT, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless integration of all electrical systems.
• Identify design gaps, technical risks, and constructability issues, proposing practical solutions.
• Support factory and site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT) for major electrical equipment.
• Monitor contractor progress, review technical submittals, and provide clear recommendations to the project leadership.
• Ensure all electrical installations meet the reliability and redundancy requirements of Tier‑rated data centre environments.
• Participate in commissioning activities and support final handover documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 12 years of experience in electrical engineering within large‑scale construction projects
• Proven experience in data centre, mission‑critical, or high‑reliability electrical systems
• Strong background in design review, site supervision, and multidisciplinary coordination
• Familiarity with international standards
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑management skills
