Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a qualified Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Buildings team in Riyadh. You will deliver Electrical Building Services designs across diverse projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients to ensure high-quality, sustainable outcomes.

You will prepare technical reports, design calculations, and drawings, while mentoring graduates and contributing to energy-efficient solutions within a dynamic consultancy.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering (Electrical), or related discipline.
• Member of the Saudi Council of Engineers.
• Working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status and membership of CIBSE, IET or equivalent.
• Proven experience delivering Electrical Building Services designs in consultancy or engineering environments.
• Good understanding of building regulations, codes, standards and best practice in built environment.
• Experience using Amtech, IES, Relux and Revit.
• BIM awareness and coordinated design experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Electrical Building Services designs across a variety of building and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare technical reports, design calculations, specifications, schedules and engineering documentation.
• Produce and review electrical design drawings and coordinate design information with multidisciplinary teams.
• Undertake surveys of existing electrical systems and contribute to refurbishment and upgrade solutions.
• Support the development of energy-efficient and sustainable electrical engineering solutions.
• Contribute to project delivery in accordance with programme, budget and quality requirements.
• Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, architects and other engineering disciplines.
• Support project managers and technical leads with design coordination and technical reviews.
• Assist in the preparation of fee proposals and technical inputs for project bids where required.
• Mentor and support graduate and early-career engineers, contributing to technical knowledge sharing within the team.
• Support continuous improvement and digital ways of working, sharing knowledge and lessons learned.
• Demonstrate safe, ethical and inclusive behaviours aligned to Mott MacDonald values.
